About the event

Become a Mental Health First Aider with CPSN!

This two-day, in-person workshop is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who wants to be better equipped to manage mental health issues and crises.

In today’s world, more and more people are experiencing different forms of Mental Health (MH) which although normal still carries a stigma.  Through education and awareness, people can learn to recognise the signs and symptoms of MH and be able to commence conversations to provide support and resources to someone experiencing MH.

Early intervention is one of the keys to getting someone help and if we can recognise some signs and symptoms, we can do more to support people experiencing MH.  MH awareness will improve mental health literacy, reduce stigma, create a more compassionate, informed society and build community capacity to support people experiencing mental health problems.

Who is this course for?

This course is for individuals who want to become accredited Mental Health First aiders to support friends, family, or anyone in the community doing it tough.

Please note: This is a course designed to equip you with strategies to help other people experiencing MH difficulties and as such will be discussing some distressing topics. It is not designed to be a self-help course
