Supporting Your Therapy Goals
Physical, Psychosocial and life skills goals are included in many NDIS plans, and are often achieved in collaboration with a variety of different allied health professionals, including:
- Physiotherapists
- Neurophysiotherapists
- Occupational Therapists
- Psychologists
- Speech Therapists
- Speech Pathologists
- Podiatrists
- Behaviour Support Practitioners
- Dieticians
Funding for Support Workers to help with Allied Health sessions and continuing Therapy at home in a NDIS plan is often drawn from the Core Supports budget. There may also be funding available for Therapy assistance in an individual's Capacity Building budget, depending on their plan. These supports may also be accessed through self-managed, privately funded, or court-appointed arrangements.
CPSN clients staying Active and Strong
- David utilities a Support Worker to help him maintain his daily exercise regime in his home environment.
- Jason attends regular Hydrotherapy (Physiotherapy in a heated pool with the supervision of a Physiotherapist) sessions with his Support Worker. This allows him to build confidence in attending his sessions and interacting independently with his Physio.

The joy I saw on my clients' face when he got to look around a NEW area was the best thing for me.
