Your Support, Your Choice: How CPSN's Person Centred Recruitment Works

At CPSN, we believe that great support starts with the right match. That’s why our recruitment process is built around you, giving you real choice and control over who supports you and how.

What is Person centred recruitment?

Person centred recruitment means you’re involved in finding and choosing your Support Workers. From contributing to the job ad, being part of the interview panel and meeting potential support workers, you decide how much or how little you’d like to participate in our process. We make sure everything is safe, compliant, and easy to navigate so you can focus on what matters most: finding the right people for your team.

A Focus on Personal relationships

Our services give our clients the flexibility and autonomy to choose and direct their own support network. Do you already have a support worker you prefer? We can help you bring-your-own (BYO) existing support team into the CPSN family or find new support workers who match your needs and interests – someone you actually want around!

We know that strong connections between clients and their support team is key, and we’re committed to building and supporting those relationships for you every step of the way.

How it Works

Our person centred process follows a few simple steps:

  1. You tell us what you need

We start with an Employment Requisition Form that captures your support needs, preferred model of support, location, and hours. You can also include any personal preferences – for example, interests or qualities you value in a Support Worker.

  1. Creating your job ad

If you’d like, we’ll help you create a person centred advertisement that highlights what makes your support unique. Or, if you’d prefer, CPSN can post a standard Support Worker ad for you.

  1. Reviewing applications

You can choose to review all applications we receive or have your Client Liaison Coordinator present you with a shortlist.

  1. Interviews your way

We use a mix of standard CPSN questions and optional person centred questions – things that outline what’s important to you. You can take part in interviews, submit your own questions, or simply review notes afterwards.

  1. Meet & Greet

Once a potential match is identified, we’ll arrange a relaxed meet and greet. This gives you the chance to get to know the Support Worker and decide if you’d like to work with them.

  1. You make the final decision

We’ll never place a Support Worker with you unless you’re happy. You have the final say.

Why it's Important

This process ensures that:

  • You have choice and control at every step
  • Support Workers are the right fit for your needs and lifestyle
  • CPSN meets it's safety and compliance obligations as an Employer
  • Recruitment stays consistent, transparent, and fair for everyone

A Partnership built on Trust

Our Person centred recruitment model balances your voice with CPSN’s responsibility to maintain quality and safety.

Together, we can find support workers who don’t just meet your needs, but make a positive difference in your everyday life.

With CPSN, you can feel confident knowing your support team reflects your needs, your preferences, and your goals.

Our happy Client, Ingrid, above, found the right support worker to match her needs and wants to live her best life.

“I’m happy CPSN found Julie (my Support Worker) because we have an excellent dynamic, our humour meshes really well. It’s very different to previous Support Workers I’ve had, I feel like she’s really working with me to reach my goals like getting my learner’s permit, applying for jobs and being more social” - Ingrid, CPSN Client
