About our client
CPSN are looking for pro-active, reliable people to support our fantastic teenage female client who has cerebral palsy and lives with her family in Wodonga, Victoria.
The family has dogs so you must be comfortable working in an environment with dogs.
About the Role
The role involves working with the client's family and existing support team at the client's home in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Support Workers receive ongoing training onsite and online to ensure everyone feels comfortable and supported.
Supports required: Assistance with personal care, activities of daily living, community access, complex care provision e.g.: PEG and tracheostomy care.
Shift Requirements
Week 1
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday - 6:00pm to 11.00pm
Saturday - 7:00am to 4:00pm
Sunday – 7:00am to 1:00pm
Week 2
Monday, Wednesday and Thursday - 6:00pm-11:00pm
Potential for more shifts.
About You
You will be in your 20's to 30's, have a great attitude, be willing to learn, and motivated to work in a respectful and collaborative manner. Experience in supporting people with a disability desirable.
Open license desired but not essential
Willingness to learn complex care supports
Strong observational skills
A proactive approach
Problem solving capabilities
Respect for established routines
Compliance requirements
You will have or be willing to obtain the following documentation to work with CPSN:
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- 2 references from prior and/or current employers
- Valid driver’s license
Certificate Ill or IV in Disability Support desired but not essential!
