When Ingrid aged out of childhood Health services, she was ‘left behind’ to navigate adulthood alone. This is often commonplace in the health system.
“A lot of the supports that I had were like dropped, because obviously I’m no longer a kid,” Ingrid said.
This is where we stepped in. We matched Ingrid with Julie, a Support Worker who has helped her to strengthen her skills in having boosted her confidence, independence, and pursue her personal goals.
Our Support Workers Genuinely Care
Julie understood Ingrid’s needs. Julie and the NDIS have helped her with various life skills and helped her become more involved in her local Community.
“She’s been helping me with my goals, such as being more social, being a bit more out there, getting to and from the Gym, also helping me, applying for like jobs, getting my learners’ permit,” Ingrid says.

How targeted Support helped Ingrid achieve Personal Milestones
Beyond practical Support, the pair have formed a strong friendship, bringing relief and peace of mind to Ingrid’s Mum, Sally, who is thrilled to see Ingrid happy, living her best life and is full of praise for Julie. “Julie’s been the best [support worker] we’ve had.”
Ingrid and Julie are happy, having both been paired together successfully.
Sally is thrilled with the outcome and level of support they have received from CPSN so far.
“They [CPSN] really have an awareness of what people with CP need.”

The Perfect Match
Since working with Julie, Ingrid has grown more confident, embraced new challenges, and developed a fresh outlook on life.
“She [Julie] just like gives me push that I otherwise really wouldn’t have…I think your potential can be like anything you want it to be, it’s like a self-fulfilling prophecy,” Ingrid says.
Julie has seen many changes in Ingrid too, from trying new things to feeling more relaxed and comfortable in new environments since they met.
“I’ve seen so much change in Ingrid in the short time I’ve worked with her. It’s fantastic,” Julie says.
